Anyone who serves God will find out earlier or subsequent that the large hindrance to his work is not other ones but himself. He will find out that his outward man and his inward man are not in harmony, for both are tending in the direction of converse directions. He will furthermore sense the incompetence of his outward man to submit to the spirit's command, therefore rendering him incapable of complying God's largest commands.
