Introduction

Who Moved My Cheese? A surprising way to deal with change at work and private life published in 1998 is a book of motivation written by Spencer Johnson in the style of a parable. Describe the change in work and life, and four typical reactions to said change with two mice, two “little people” and searching of cheese. A bestseller business in New York Times since the release, “Who Moved My Cheese?” remained on the list for almost five years and spent over two hundred weeks on the nonfiction hardcover of Publishers Weekly.

Discussion

The book starts by presenting the four main characters of the fable: the mice, “Sniff” and “Scurry” and the Lilliputians “Hem” and “Haw” and his search of cheese in a maze that represents the real world. Mice looking for a simple cheese, while the Lilliputians looking for a cheese with a capital representing anything we want to achieve (happiness, work, money, love).

Each, one day found his own brand of cheese in Cheese Station C; whenever they felt more comfortable and moved home to be closer and create your social life around that place. Hem and Haw were so comfortable that they realized that the supply of cheese decreased with each passing day. One day the mice arrived at Cheese Station Q and found that there was no cheese. The other mice had noticed that each day had less cheese and no change caught them by surprise. Instinctively, he put the running shoes and set off in search of New Cheese.

Later came the Lilliputians not prepared to discover that there was no cheese. While the mice put in place quickly, the Lilliputians still undecided, not knowing what to do, and they went home hungry and discouraged. They returned the next day to deposit without cheese to make sure the cheese was still not there. Hem believed to have the right to cheese while Haw suggested getting some New Cheese, which he refused.

While, still undecided mice Lilliputians were already looking for New Cheese in the maze until finally arrived at Cheese Station N, where they found a large supply of New Cheese. Meanwhile, Hem and Haw were still back each day to Cheese Q, just wait. One day perhaps they thought that might be behind the cheese from the wall so that the next day opened a hole ...
