Time flies

It is rightly said that time and tide waits for none. Time is an ever passing and ongoing phenomenon, which can neither be stopped, nor paused or slowed down. Everything in the universe in on a move, and continues to change at its normal pace, with no pauses or stops. It is generally observed that times goes away at an incredible rate and before you can actually understand a phenomenon or get the real taste of it, it's over. Take the example of the various phases of life, like childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age, each part has its own charm offers something new, but one only realizes the importance of that phase when it is already over. This is due to the fact that time is flying, and by the time you realize what is happening around, it has either ended or is about to end, and thus people are only left with memories to cherish and regret all the moments that they missed.

It is eminent to mention here that time seems to move faster at certain instances and slower at the others, however, that is not the case. Time is always running with the same speed and at the same phase, no matter how the circumstances are, the feeling of time changing speed comes because at times we are more anxious to move ahead and at others, we are not aware or the speed of time and believe that it would remain the same forever, and thus do not give much importance to the ongoing events and happenings (Kwinter, 2002).

Ask any elderly person about his life, and he is sure to answer that it flew away, and he realized it is gone only when he hit the old age. All the phases of life went away swiftly and without being noticed, and every time he realized that time is going fast, he was contented by the fact that there is more to come, until there came a stage where he knows that not much time is left. Same is the case with all the other human beings, who can see the time flying right out of their hands but do not realize the speed until it is out of reach, and they are left behind.

The legend says that successful are the people who keep pace with time, and guide time instead of allowing time to guide them. Such people, though rare, are the ones who shape the course of history and whose names remain alive forever. They not only gain immortal fame but also act as guideline for all the other people, who might follow their footsteps and start moving with the speed of flying time, so that they can get benefitted by time instead of mourning over the things that it has taken along.

No matter how we act and utilize time, the fact remains that it is flies away and does not wait for anyone. All the things in life, and life itself has to end ...
