The special effects are describes as an art or science, this art and science applies and studies the tools for the purpose of wondering the humans by making use of sensory audio-visual system, which recognize the happenings around us. The main focus of the special effects is on creating an unreal thing to present as real, or making a non-existing happening by means of organized approach.

Television and motion film industry have experienced a lot of dynamic stages of development in the last few years. Among them the visual effects and special effects are much more considered. However, the influence of special effects on each of these two areas is outstanding and tremendous (Brosnan, 1974). A very important role has been played by them in forming these two mediums of entertainment more amusing and popular as compared to other mediums. The very current word of virtual reality was initially introduced in the picture of motion, when they depicted characters and scenes which are nor possible to be present in the real world. For instance, in the movie King Kong that included a Gorilla and also in the first part of the Terminator that includes a robot converting into a human being. These were very entertaining at the times when these movies got released. The first movement that created in this background was Steven Spielberg in the Jurassic Park, in this movie several of Dinosaurs were animated and artificially made.

There are several concepts and arguments related to the special effects in the industry of television and picture of motion. Like according to my thesis source, I have read several books, magazines and journals. One of the journals with the name Elastic Cinema has raised some questions related to the special effects and the applications of the special effects in the television and cinema. The current growths in cinema reflect that industry is not moving to decelerated in terms of virtual reality and special effects. The special effect's amount that we utilize in the cinema at present is rising everyday and turning out to be more and more critical in nature. The questions included whether these growths are economically reasonable? Will these developments are going to be aid the industry in an optimistic way? Are they contributing for the society in a better way like the films of past did? These are the arguments that are raised by the lovers of movies and movie fans. However, as the science and technology develop more; their accountability for the society in turn needs to be more developed. Nevertheless, television and cinema is the medium for entertainment, the queries that are raised in the discussion seems to be irrelevant. The fundamental objective of cinema is to entertain its viewers. They at times entertain people in several ways. For creating this entertainment, special effects are utilized as powerful tools (Brosnan, 1974).
