Special education is itself is quite a sensitive job in nature that requires immense research before implementing any sort of tactics. It is also a fact that the world has an increasing number of unique children whom needs are planned consideration in order become the efficient member of the nation. Public education is a separate domain for them to be in as their requirements are different from the regular students. The researchers have presented various strategies to combat the issues emerging in the transfer of the abilities and experience to students with unique needs. In the context, the central challenge is to establish communication with such students (Seward, 2008) To achieve that many researchers have encouraged the educators to modify their teaching methods and conditions to cater the need of the special children. In developed countries, the unique is considered to be an accumulation of special services instead of a place for education. Co-teaching is a concrete model that lays emphasis on achieving collaboration and communication within the members of the team to fulfill the needs of the students. Yet, the material that makes up a team varies from school to school. Co-teaching is a profession that comprises of all the professional attitudes of the person. Regarding special education, the responsibilities of a co-teacher is expanded in a grand manner (Boyle, 2010). She has to have a separate function as well an individual role in carrying the role of a teacher. Self-contained environment is a specially tailored environment for students with special needs. Their needs regarding social, emotional and behavioral need extra support and supervised educational services at the school.

Special children have always been part of the nation.

In old times, people considered them as a curse for the family and extra burden.

The first special school was founded in Paris 1784 named “Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles”.

It taught the blind students (Norwich, 2010).

Thomas Braidwood established the first special school in the United Kingdom in 1767.

During the 19th century, the behavior of the society with such special people was inappropriate.

They were mostly chained and housed forcefully.

The behavior of the society has been reflected well in the novels by Charles Dickens.

With the passage of time, there have been more refined approaches applied and evaluated with the special children (Obiakor, 2010).

In the United States, the reforms were introduced considerably later.

They got the recognition in the U.S. in the mid of 20th century and was encouraged to become the active part of the society.

The government made some noticeable alteration in the Disabilities Act of 1997 in the United States.

Gradually the government began to amalgamate the children at school with judicious and special sever education (Bursztyn, 2007).

This implied the encouragement for researchers and educators to find and apply a variety of theories.
