Introduction

Special education is the general name for studies designed for students with disabilities. It is designed to understand and meet the educational, social, emotional and rehabilitation needs of those students. Special education is often part of an institution that specializes in these studies, or as a further general education institution. Special Education is a form of care that focuses on Basic Education Inclusive Education, which allows recognizing the variety of subjects and contexts involved in the school. It raises the recognition of differences and respect for diversity as an enrichment aspect. Consider the attention of students according to their educational needs and emphasizes education for all, eliminating any barrier to learning and social participation of children and young people attending schools. The purpose of special education is to increase the likelihood of having a disability integrate into employment thereby reducing the need for allowances percent unemployment and disability. Today, the prevailing attitude is that the very existence of the special education indicates a mismatch of environmental design needs of people with different abilities from the norm, as these are a minority. Throughout the history of education, the role of special education teacher has been changed until the current situation. We can say that the special education specialist has gone from an external context for mainstream schools to interweave within school activities. Discussion

Is the child disability is an obstacle or an opportunity for the teacher's work? It is certainly one of the most sensitive issues to be addressed in the school and in educational contexts. Deafness, visual impairment, genetic syndromes, mental retardation, attention disorders are the challenges that teachers face. They do not only have to manage the daily problems of the child, but also to be able to enhance the resources and reduce the weight of different handicapped children. Special education will bear fruit, however, only if it is integrated in the real network of relationships of the child (family, rehabilitation, specialists) and whether it will be considered by the teacher himself, as an opportunity to grow intellectually (Paul, 1997).
