In this research paper we will discuss the problems faced by the research age furniture company. We will try to present the viable solution to all the problems that re faced by the company. For each problem we will try to present different solutions and select the most appropriate solution considering each case. We will also discuss that how minimizing the quantity of the subassemblies will help the company. Similarly, we will also try to ponder over that how inventory costs can be harmful for the company and how they can be reduced. We will also discuss that how the excess inventory costs are affected at each stage. Furthermore, we will also discuss the trade-off between the inventory costs and the overtime costs. We will also discuss the different production processing methods and define that which method is best for the company. There will also be the discussion that how the how the job status and the location of the employees can be determined during the production. Moreover, we will discuss that by following what ways the company can add value to its customers. So the main purpose of this work is that how the operations of the space age furniture company can be improved to increase the productivity and efficiency of the company and adding value to the customers at the same time.

What options are open to Coral to address this problem?
It is the duty of the good managers to value the work of the reliable and hardworking employees. It has been identified by the foreman that one of the skilled workers naming Ed is disturbed with his job, so there is greater need of motivating this worker. Currently Ed is working on the special assignment; he is the only person who is involved in the making of the special part (no.3079). He is disturbed because he has to do overtime most of the times in order to complete the production of the special part (no.3079).
Coral can address this problem in many ways. He can either relieve Ed, by allocating the work of the production of special part no. 3079 to another skilled worker, or if other skilled worker is not present than the new skilled worker can be hired as well. Similarly, Ed can be motivated to work overtime for the production of the part number 3079 by paying him higher wage rate. Coral can also address the grievances of Ed by only giving him the task to work on the special part no.3079, and relieving him of the other work. In this way Ed will be able to do the work of the part no.3079 without the overtime. This problem, however, is very important as part no.3079 is very important and needed for two products which are also very important as well.
