Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV), is an American-based, cheap fare airline having it's headquarter in Dallas, Texas. The airline was established in 1967, by the half way through June 5, 2011 it became the biggest airline in the United States based upon local passenger carrier. It was 5thMarch, 2000, approximately 1810 hours (PST), A Boeing 737-300 of Southwest Airlines, Flight No: 1455, a flight from McCarran International Airport (LAS), Las Vegas, Nevada that overran the runway during arrival at Burbank Glendale Pasadena Airport (BUR), Burbank, California. There were no life damages but the disaster struck the California Burbank airport nearly ruins that part of the city near the airport. Controversies
In June 2011, a March 25 demo of an in flight communication of the Southwest pilot Captain James Taylor seemingly accidentally spreading a dialogue with his co-pilot was at large to the media.
