Introduction

Electronic Medical Charting helps a stuff nurse to efficiently look after patient in other words it helps to cultivate a relationship between a patient and a professional or a health center, to be part of integrated clinical information. Moreover, Electronic Medical Charting helps to serve a patient more effectively since it saves a lot of time by automating the whole process. Above all it enhances the safety of both the patients and the staff since it allows the documents to be recorded easily. Since, this mechanism tends to be relatively modern thus it tends to face resistance from the physicians (Neil, 2010). In the context of this paper we intend to analyze the notions related to Electronic Medical Charting and why this issue needs to be resolved. In order to do so different theories would also be discussed, this would be done through different perspectives in order to develop an effective and efficient understanding of the subject.

Discussion

Being a staff nurse is in its self is big responsibility and demands a lot from an individual in order to fulfill the duties and obligations attached to the profession. Moreover, as highlighted in the pretext of the paper, being a staff nurse in a very busy step-down unit in a 450 bed acute hospital tends to make a work of a staff nurse even more complicated. Therefore, in order to ease the burden from the staff nurses, which are also rendered as a backbone of any hospital would not only enhance the service provided by the hospital but will ensure better safety of the patients along with the staff.
