Social work - is to seek opportunities and expand the horizons of individuals, families and communities with whom we work. If we, as social workers, can take part in it, then we have "succeeded". If during this process we will also expand our own horizons, develop new perspectives, the experience of others, send their own experience, then we really are working successfully. These relationships should be the focus of the dynamics of the profession. These are the thoughts that occurred to me when I was preparing for the workshop "Standards of social work and training programs of the social sphere," which took place in Ternopil. I've never been to Ukraine and was not familiar with David Harrison, Professor of Social Work from the State of Alabama, USA. Would the, I thought, social work as a professional activity to the constructive and useful discussion, despite national differences, or differences of opinion? Can social work to act as a unifying and international professional design or national differences and perspectives too controversial?

There is agreement that sociology is "the scientific study of social behavior Or social action carried out by human beings or that" study of social gatherings and groups in the context of the live systems, the study of those systems themselves and how they arise, with the study of the causes of changes in it, and the results of those changes. Throughout Europe and beyond social work is undergoing an intense period of self-examination and change. Global issues serious challenges to the profession, which traditionally should meet local needs. Can we save our national, professional features, to respond to specific changes in social conditions in our countries and at the same time work together to unite and strengthen the identity and effectiveness of our actions as professionals? How to avoid danger while introducing models and structures that are effective in one cultural setting, but ineffective in another?
