Introduction

If only it were the casual norm of this world to spend one's life in eternal seclusion, the terms, such as relations, friendships and social network would have never found their places in the dictionary. It seems, as though interaction and socializing is an integral part of a person's life in this world. It is the imbedded nature of mankind that he mostly opts and chooses to act towards others to execute his personal and other (social) matters in one manner or another. Interestingly, the generalization of the term friendship, quite astutely obscures its prime and underlying connotation.

It is imperative to acknowledge here, as tough what are the factors, which, in the first place propel a common person to evade from the life of seclusion and indulge into iterations with others and subsequently develop a network of friends and peers for himself, and secondly the manner in which he chooses, as though who qualifies to be a significant constituent of his broader social network. Most importantly, what are the means, in the modern world, via which the seclusion or aloneness of the person can find a way out towards the enchanting and captivating colors of friendship. In order to assimilate the answers of the prior mentioned queries, a specific research method will be undertaken (interviews) to gain a concrete insight regarding the factors that pay a pivotal role in the previously mentioned regard.

Friendship And Social Network

As mentioned in the introductory section that the answer of the factors that compel the person to evade from the aspects of seclusion and walk into the colors of life, can only be understood in the context of friendship and the modern day social network relished by a common man. The prime comprehension of the term friendship denotes, to a naïve mind that the state of being friendly, helpful, supportive, understanding, the sense of belonging and owning, and most importantly being favorable are the basic facets of friendship. Bearing in mind the facets of friendship, it can be assimilated that friendship is not only about laughing, having fun and spending a good time together, but to be supportive, favorable and helpful to the other person, whom you call your friend in the time of need. Friendship denotes that basic facet of relationship which primarily revolves around knowing the other person well and regarding him to the utmost level encompassing the basic aspects of trust and affection. Friendship denotes the act of associating oneself to the other person, who is worthy and credible enough to render you sheer assistance and cooperation, and is always there to back you in the matters which are felt beneficial by him (Reutov, 2012, pp. 76).
