Socioeconomics is the area of study which is the combination of two another wide areas of studies i.e. sociology and economics. It is the field that interlinks and examines the effects of both social and economic factors and develops an understanding that how both of them effects the various other areas of society.

Social and economic development of a society not only contributes and integrates the socioeconomic activity of the society and country on the whole, but it also it has a deep impact on an individual's family life especially on the health and education and nutrition of the children. The socioeconomic status of a family in the society is dependent on the total amount of income that the family earns, level of education of the elders of the family, the occupation they belong to, their social status and their respect level among the society (Demarest et.al, 1993).
