Introduction

The social worker is a generic term for a set of occupations working in the field of social action in general. He is featured on the front line manage, understand, and help meet the needs of its audiences (Banks, 2008).

Indeed, it must comply with a set of tasks defined by the institution that employs him, either in order to assist the person in the acts of daily life or in order to facilitate insertion of the person accompanied (John , 2011).

The social worker works with individuals, families, groups, even within the institutions where communities see community. By advice or by the projects it implements, it seeks to prevent disparities in access to goods and services, to facilitate the adaptation of individuals to their environment and to solve or reduce some difficulties Social. It helps to clarify the needs of people, identify the source of their problems, to find and implement solutions that suit them, to assert their rights, to make social change and influence social policies (Banks, 2008).

Discussion

The basic aim of social work is to provide social welfare with a view that every single individual in the society deserves social, economic, political opportunities and rights (John , 2011). Hence we can say that social justice is the essence of social work. Social workers assess societal dissimilarities and on the basis of that, help in reinforcing the rights of those deprived.

In accordance with law, Social workers assist people in testing and understanding their reality, social, physical and emotional, and to mobilize resources within themselves and in their social environment to meet their reality or change it.

They engage these victims of social injustice in various activities to nurture and reinforce their physical and mental capabilities. They offer them counselling and psychotherapeutic interventions to stimulate their senses and instil in them; a desire to survive and fight for their basic human rights (John , 2011).

These workers join hands with other concerned agencies and not-for-profit-organizations to better implement the programs of health care, child welfare, counselling, job seeking, accommodation and other facilities for the victims. These workers not only work for rehabilitation of those that fell prey to injustices but also strive to promote awareness among the general masses about how to protect their rights and avail opportunities, while also respecting each and every member of the society. These agencies seek help from state government in further implementing their programs. They estimate the needs of each society and distinguish those who live in constant fear and terror of being killed to those who are mild sufferers. Strategies are designed accordingly. These efforts of social workers in promoting social justice and values are commendable as one of the great reasons of progress and equality in advanced societies (John , 2011).
