Compare Three Cultures with Your Own 

In this paper, three different cultures are compared and contrasted with my culture i.e. Saudi Arabia. The other three cultures selected include the culture of China, the United Kingdom, and Dubai. In this framework, four positive and four negative characteristics of all the cultures are evaluated.

The culture of Saudi Arabia mainly rotates around their authorized religion; Islam. The holiest places, which are Mecca and Medina, are also situated in this country.

The culture of China is so substantive and comprehensive in varieties and content and holds very long history that outsiders may consider it very identical to the elephant prior the sightless men in the olden times.

The culture of the UK is diversified among Welsh, Irish, Scots, and English. It favours individualism as compared to group orientation.

The culture of Malaysia is multilingual and multi ethnic. In olden times, Malaysian culture was originated from indigenous ethnic groups that populated it.

Saudi Arabia is 99% populated with Muslims and the population is further divided into Bedouins and Arabs. The country's national dance is known as “Al-Ardha” that is founded on Bedouin traditions.

Chinese culture has been shaped by three idealistic civilizations i.e. Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. Taoism means agreement with nature, Confucianism means human relationship, and Buddhism means eternal world.

British culture is shaped by class systems, in which there is the upper class, coroneted by the royal family, placed at a considerable distance from the middle class.

The Malaysian culture also includes Arabic, British, and Persian. These distinct ethnicities bring and construct their own identities and culture in Malaysia.

Cinemas and theatres are strictly prohibited in Saudi culture. Pork is strictly prohibited according to Islamic law and other animals; goat, cow, and camel are slaughtered. A dish known “khuzi”, made with stuffed lamb is considered as traditional and national dish. Some more famous dishes include kebabs and shawarma.

Folktales are mainly considered as the substratum of Chinese philosophy. The Dynasty of Han is chiefly responsible for several folktales. One of the tales spins around a person who was instructed to assist the “Great Wall of China” by ruler “Qinshihuang” and was utilised as an element of the foundation of wall.

Toast is considered as the treat in the UK. A wine is defined as having passionate flavours and aromas of bramble-jelly, berries, peppery spices, toffee, Morella cherries, honey, and a hint of mint.
