We live in the world today where social ills and evils, with their existence and their prevalence being legibly evident, have not been addressed, without the intervention of the multiple changes and the challenges that have been rising over the passage of time.
For this paper, our focus and concentration revolves around the changes and the challenges that are associated with MADD (Mothers against Drunk Driving) and the corresponding functions, duties and responsibilities towards the American society.
The NGO has been invested in a cause for eliminating and undermining drunk driving, prevent events and occurrences related to underage drinking and also aim to target and make way for promoting and coining stricter alcohol policy. With this, the underlying motives make way for the creation of an ill-free society, but also invest its energies into establishing new and effective ways of raising a healthy, constructive society.
Background of the Organization
Established on May 7, 1980, the organization was established by Candice Lightner, after her thirteen (13) year old daughter was killed in a drunken driving incident. In the mission of the organization, it has been clearly mentioned that the entity is investing its energies into halting drunk driving.
The utilization of alcohol abuse is common for adolescents residing in the United States of America. Government authorities and regulatory bodies invest their energies towards the creation and the establishment of recovery measures and strategies that would provide for the creation of reviving adolescents from the use of alcohol pertaining to a healthy lifestyle.
