Overview

Social Networks have been installed in our lives with determination and speed. Social relationships that help provide even basic needs of human beings. However, the dynamics with which they act and how to use those who partake of them generate undesirable effects related to privacy.

There is a lot of hype and talk about privacy in social networks. It is very important to be aware of the rules of privacy and how to prepare so we can use these networks in a safe and sound. And the existence of new media and the changing social concepts, it is easy to access information about individuals, control and use them on a scale never seen before. For example, you may use the information on your ID card or civil registration number for the purposes of scam and is the source from which it was obtained by him to involve the social network, facebook or Twitter, for example! (Banks & DeFigueiredo, 177-89)This may cause share this information that is sensitive to the other, providing privacy settings to it by these sites. Different levels of privacy and of the social network to another, in a study conducted on my site (facebook and my space) were expressed for users of both networks comparable levels of concern about privacy. And resulted in evidence that users interact with each other on the network does not require the same level of confidence (trust level) that they need when interacting face to face, but much less, and that people are willing to share their photos and information in the network more than the reality.
