Social, Legal and Ethical Issues Related to Technology Resources

Introduction

The increasing use of technological resources has also created the number of issues in the societies. There are various social, legal and ethical matters that pertain to the technological resources. These issues have given the learners various challenges in utilizing the technological resources. In our daily lives, the technology has replaced almost majority of the activities with the digital sources. The new and innovative products and services are introduced frequently in the markets that make the old products obsolete. It is the technology advancement that creates the ethical issues in the societies because it leads to increased competitions in the society by offering the competitive innovations. These issues mainly includes data mining, assaulting to privacy, data theft and the monitoring of activities at the workplace that are critical to anyone.

When we talk about the technological influences on ethics, we consider it in two ways. Firstly it is considered that whether the rapidity of technological advancements is giving advantages to the mankind and if it is giving then to what extent? Secondly it is considered that either it is giving empowerment to the people while blocking the ways for other people. The answers to these issues are that the technology has given benefits to the mankind but at the same time it has created many challenges for them in the society. These have affected all including the district personnel, students and parents.

Discussion

This section aims at discussing the discussing the understanding of social, ethical, and legal issues and responsibilities related to an evolving digital culture in the districts that has affected all the individuals. There must be certain levels at all the districts that can create the district rules, plans, policies and procedures for the use of technological resources in the ethical, legal and social way.

Acceptable use of internet

One of the major concerns is the acceptable use and internet safety policies. In every district there must be adequate policies to support the learners for the education. The district may have many teaching institutes for which the policies requires those institutes to put some restrictions on the internet uses to ensure the acceptable use of the technology sources by the students.
