However it would be wrong to suggest that these events are completely unethical or immoral in nature due to their celebration of materialistic and shallow ideals, because fair competition is the right of every individual. If the participants in these events take part in the beauty contests with their consent and they are not pressurized by an external stakeholder, than they deserve to be a part of this competition. The debate regarding the ethics of this social issue have supporters on both sides, and due to its relevance in the contemporary society, it is a very popular debate in eth context of the global society.
