Smartphones' Privacy Risk

Introduction

As we know that technology is advancing day by day and each day brings new ideas and concepts with certain innovations. With the advancement of technology, there are also certain privacy risks associated with it which is not compromised any case. If these privacy issues are not handled at time then, it may create a risk of incidents. There are numerous case studies which tell about these risks with the advancement of technology especially with smartphones. There are several cases in which privacy of customers has been compromised using their smartphones.

You will agree at the point that use of smartphones is risky and some risks are so dangerous that it cannot be avoided as these risks are creating several issues with the privacy of customers. The most important risk when using the smartphone is the loss of personal information, photos and data. Several employees complain that when their smartphones are lost, all necessary information and relevant data of the company is also lost (Jain, p.1). Individuals are in a habit of placing their photos online on social networks via smartphones. These photos can be easily hacked by applying several techniques. If any individual open its location services then, it is easily trapped as geographic coordinates become the part of it. There are several individuals who cannot see this code and fall in a threat. Parents should protect their children from such technology.

Government has raised several concerns on the increasing theft of smartphones in number of countries. The theft activities of smartphones are the vital issue for government because; large amount of data can be stolen after the smartphone is lost or snatched at gun point (Newton, p.49-59). According to the report, 40% of the theft includes the smartphones.
