Introduction

Slavery, as a matter of fact, is system under which people are treated in terms of property to for the purpose of selling and buying and ultimately are forced to work. In fact, slaves can be caught against their consent from the time of their capture, birth, or purchase. They, however; does not have right to leave, to refuse to work or even cannot demand for a specific compensation. From the historical point of view, slavery was endemic in many of the societies. However, with the passage of time, this concept has been banned (Kelly & Lewis, 2005).

On the other hand, a Civil War is termed as a war among different groups, which falls under the umbrella of common state or republic. Although, the ultimate aim of this notion is to have control over the specific country or region for the purpose of achieving independence to compel government to change policies and procedures. Primarily, a civil war is full of conflict, where regular armed conflicts happens, and are sustained by large armed groups. As a result of such kind of war, huge number of causalities occurs with the passage of time (Kelly & Lewis, 2005).

Both of the terms - Slavery & Civil War have deep connection. For instance, the American Civil war is deeply linked with slavery; even to the extent it is impossible to understand American Civil war without a prior background of slavery. Hence, this paper primarily will focus over notion of slavery on one hand, and the outbreak of Civil War on the other.

Discussion

As a matter of fact, when the continent of the North America was fist fell under to colonial rule of Europe, where there was vast land, harsh work has to be done, and the bottom line is there was a staunch need of labor. In fact, both males as well as females were the need of the time to work over the land. There were many propositions in that particular time ranging from white bond servants, they, however; eased the matter to a certain extent, but the underlying issue was still lingering. At the juncture, a ship loaded with African slaves solved the problem once for all. Salvers, however; were one of the economical measures to solve the labor intensive problems in order to grow the cash crops such as those of tobacco (Mullane, 1993).
