Euthanasia can be with the consent and approval of the patient or can be such a case when the patient is not able to speak or correspond and it can also be active (e.g. a drug overdose in the form of insulin, barbiturates or morphine or can be passive (i.e. cutting of life support). It also includes supported suicide, where a doctor allows the patient to do the act and there is a great deal of argument over whether or not the practice is ethical, furthermore euthanasia mounts many religious, medical, legal, and ethical issues. Euthanasia is permissible in the state of Oregon in the U.S.A and Netherlands, the government on the Isle of Man has made a much debated conclusion to permit euthanasia and this has been a current issue and there is much pressure increasing on other governments as well to follow, with more incurably ill patients stating the desire to end their lives legally and they also state that the main cause, is so that they can depart this life with pride.
