Should Supreme Court Justices have a set term on the bench?
The Supreme Court of the United States is composed of nine judges selected by the President, subject to approval by the Senate. Some people believe that the Supreme Court of the United States should be subject to term limits and should only serve 15 to 20 years. The idea has a number of vocal supporters, but others point out disadvantages associated with these limits (Calabresi, & Lindgren, 2006).
