Should Homosexuals be able to Marry?

Thesis

In order to debate regarding the legalization and allowing of gay marriages, first, it is important to understand the meaning and purpose of marriage. Marriage is a union between two people in which one partner is male and another is the female. It is usually considered that if someone is debating against the legalization or against the concept of gay marriages than the person is a conservative or do not hold a broad spectrum towards life. However, if seen from the perspective of scientific and biological logic, the concept of gay marriages does not make any sense. In the recent times, it has become a very complex issue whether to allow the same sex marriages or not.

There are several factors that need to be considered before allowing the homosexual marriages. Marriages affect the evolution, history and trends of mankind, legal aspects, human biology, reproduction, religion, civil rights, love, relationships, children etc. The people who talk about in favor of the same sex marriages often use the word freedom in relationships for justifying their stance. Everybody has the right to think and provide their viewpoints regarding the issue but the logical and sensible arguments are required to deal with the issue of same sex marriages (McCabe & Heerwig, 2010).

This paper represents the viewpoints of the author regarding the issue of same sex marriages and whether it should be allowed or not. The consequences of same sex marriages are examined and their affect on the human society, psychology and future are discussed. The purpose of the paper is to highlight the negative consequences of same sex marriages that lead to the conclusion that homosexuals should not get marry.

Argument

The same sex marriages produce negative consequences in the society and to the natural reproduction system. The persistence of same sex marriage will eventually deteriorate the whole societal system in the countries where it is legalized and allowable. There are scientific as well as social issues that emerge from the marriage of same gender people in the society. If we look back at the evolution and life of the human beings then we came to know that the planet seems like this because of the sexual reproduction of the organisms especially the human beings. Both partners that is, male and female mate together to combine their DNA and produce new individuals on the earth. This is the natural process and the only way for further multiplying the human beings. This is the reason that in normal conditions the opposite genders are attracted towards each other in almost every kind of society (McCabe & Heerwig, 2010).
