Any action of a person which forces the other person to be sexually involved with him is termed as the sexual abuse. It can also be taken in the sense of a person's behavior which displays his capability to overcome on his sexual feelings. It can take place with any men or women of any age. The sexual abuse includes to touch or kiss without mutual desire or permission, a violent sexual activity, rape attempt, not using condoms, to stop someone from protecting themselves from the sexually transmitted diseases, to sexually contact a drunk or unconscious person and to give threats or to force someone in the undesirable activity of sex (LIR 2013).
Sexual abuse is mostly performed by the people who are sexual addicts. Sexual addiction is a condition, in which the person always gives priority to sex. It can be best explained as a relationship disorder in which a person is always surrounded by sexual thoughts which can create problems in the family life and relations. This disorder gets passionate with time and the person starts to have more intense feelings with time. In some cases the addicts satisfy themselves only with masturbation, pornography and phone sex. But some people can also be involve in giving illegal threats, harassment, rape and by watching sexual acts and by expressing the uncontrollable sex desire.
According to the national council on sexual addiction and compulsivity, an addict is always busy in sexual thoughts and actions. He ignores the health risks he is facing due to this disorder. He also starts to have problems with finance, illegal issues and relationship matters (Herkov, M. 2006).

Types of sexual abuse
Rape
It is a type of intercourse which is done by forcing one person. The penetration of organs or any object can be vaginal, anal or oral. The forcing can be done by giving threats or by harassment. In most of the rape cases involvement of the physical force factor is mandatory. Women, children and gay can be a victim of rape (ESA 2013).
Acquaintance rape
This is a type of forced sex which is imposed by any relative, friend or date. The sexual activities are forced to perform by any violence, weapon or by locking up the person. The rape can happen to anyone at any time and the rapist can be any acquaintance (ESA 2013).
Marital Rape
The intercourse after marriage cannot be performed unless both the partners are not agreed for it. The forced intercourse even after the marriage is illegal and not something different as being raped by any stranger (ESA 2013).
Gang rape
The person who is forced to do the intercourse by more than one person is a victim of gang rape. People in groups force a single person for the sexual activities (ESA 2013).
