Introduction

In cataract, a patient develops dullness or cloudiness in the eye's lens. The lens is located inside the eye, behind the iris and the pupil. The vision gets impaired because the cloudiness blocks the light from entering the eye and reaching the retina. Most of the times, if it's not treated, the eye gets blind. Older people have greater chances of developing cataract. In cataract people experience; blurred vision, depth perception, color reduction, night blindness, glare, short sightedness and double/ triple vision.
