Self Review

I helped solve the issue with the pre-heat controls at the Oxide Department to have consistency on the reactor's pre-heat process. I was involved in solving the unsafe conditions we had around the Oxide Reactors and installed safety guards and alarms around all 4 reactors. I also managed the installation of a new double wall acid line for the Oxmaster pasting line; in this improvement we also installed a Drive for the motor for better acid flow and control. I had the opportunity to be part of the mold kit modification on Casting Machines # 1 and 3; this will improve our efficiency in the casting process. I was part of a team to make the Small Parts Department more efficient and improving our safety, quality and efficiency, including the layout of the department for better personnel management. I took part of the installation of the new Mac Baghouse. Shared knowledge at Pasting Department on how to adjust the bed plates at the pasters (Oxmaster/Simpson) for better quality on plates and supply the tools that we needed.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, I worked all year with my colleagues, (Maintenance Supervisor Manuel Hernandez, production supervisors Alberto Martinez, Carlos Sandoval, David Escutia and my Manager- Ramiro Salazar) and together accomplished the following:

Effective communication

Informs others through clear and concise expression of ideas; demonstrates good listening and interpersonal skills; enables direct and open communication, instills clarity in objectives and provides explicit guidelines for achieving results; keeps appropriate people informed in a timely fashion.

I have an everyday meeting at 1: pm with my colleague Manuel Hernandez and we discuss our issues in our department as they happening in our three shifts. I also have a weekly meeting with my manager Ramiro Salazar and we discuss our safety issues, department budget, and our reliability reports.

Quality of Work

Performs assignments with high standards of quality (i.e. accuracy, completeness, etc.) cost and schedule; is committed to quality in his/her work and requires quality from others; meets or exceeds internal and external customer needs by providing value-added improvements. As Maintenance Supervisor, I helped so we could successful install the new Mac Bag house and to make it succeed.

I improved and working together with the supplier of the pre-heat units at the oxide Department reactors we resolved the issues on programming the units properly and have consistency on the pre-heat process on all 4 oxide reactors and reducing down time and improve quality and efficiency to 98.6% improvement reliability equipment in the department, accomplished our FY goal of ...
