Introduction

Though from the very beginning an individual sets his goals and target as where he would like to see himself in the future and accordingly he planned to achieve those, likewise I have always dream of stepping into a career field of creative industry where I could excel and by taking certain personality skills test, I was in the better position that confirmed my attributes matches with those required in creative industry. The creative industry in United Kingdom narrates real success stories and the earnings reflect in a flourish economy. The media industry of UK is the most strengthen and free society which attracts almost every single youth to be a part of it. Self assessment is an initial step in career planning process.

As every individual have some personality traits and attributes which guides the person to choose the career path in his life. The personality self assessment reveals those traits and makes it easier for a person to decide whether the field being chosen exactly matches his skills and attributes or not. Moreover, it guides a person to switch into another field that suits him/her perfectly. The researchers have in this context prepared various tests which can be taken to evaluate one's personality attributes and abilities. In order to identify the characteristics, cognitive ability, interest and aptitude possessed by me some personality test assessments were taken which made me explored out my personality traits in a comprehensive way.

Interest

The very essential part in making a career decision plan calls for knowing one interest. The career path one intends to pursue must have positive correlation with the interests of an individual to achieve the desired goal and success throughout his life excelling in his field. With the passage of time one determines the preferences for college majors, recreational activities, hobbies and occupation. According to John, who is a career theorist from Holland, has stated certain personality characteristics that could guide one for career interest. He has mentioned six different types of personality: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising and conventional. After going through Holland's Hexagon assessment the three personality traits were being identified by me, which includes: Artistic, Social and Enterprising.

The artistic people are often called as Idea creators; they are critical thinkers and count among creative people who values imagination and have ability to express their ideas and thoughts in an artistic form whether using the medium of writing, acting or through music. They have an ability to solve issues in an innovative manner as they keep looking for new ways and means unlike the traditional ones. The second trait that contributes to my personality is being social, and social are the ones who enjoy helping people and have listening ability as they listen to other's problem and issues. In other words, they possess a heart for humanity. They enjoy working in collaboration and values social equality and rise voice against discrimination. They can't work in isolation and loves working at a place ...
