Secondary Socialization

Introduction

Socialization is the process of acquiring learning by participating in the societal interaction. It is the process that involves the characteristics of the person in interacting with the group or community. The learning in socialization is adopted through the assumptions and life experiences (Socialization - A Social Process). Secondary socialization deals with the behavior reinforcement form the society. In the education secondary socialization involves the norms of the children, socially accepted behavior and values that prevail in the society. There are social limitations and barriers that are considered in the secondary socialization. It takes place throughout the life of an individual (Secondary Socialization, 2013). The secondary socialization deals with the influence of social interaction acquired from school level. Cultural influence had an impact upon citizens of the state and the influence of media in Taiwan regarding the impact of secondary socialization among citizens of the state.

Influence from School

In Taiwan the process of socialization is divided into three stages such as the student's stage, the initiation stage and the teaching stage. The students learn and adapt things from the social environment. The education student's stage depicts the interaction of children with their peers and teachers as the secondary socialization came into existence when children goes to school that have a great influence upon the non family members in the process of socialization (Introduction to Sociology, 2013). The secondary socialization occurs in the phase of later childhood and adolescence stage. The roles and duties are assigned to the children at this stage of life.

Punctuality

In the secondary socialization children realizes at school to be on time and obey the teachers and parents that plays a vital role when children learns to go to school. The parents and teachers are facing difficulties in socializing the children as the youngsters are taught manners and attitudes when they cope up with the school life. The children in school life learn towards achieving the cooperation, conformity and innovation (Persell, 2008). In the school the children learns and adopt changes from the secondary socialization. Rewards play a major role when children are learning and adapting changes from the environment. The children are taught manners and they are guided regarding the neatness, punctuality and respect towards the authority. The secondary socialization teaches the children to live a respectful life in the society and the strategies for interacting with the environment.

Responsibility

Children learn responsibility when dealing with the school environment. Children perform the tasks and their skills are identified at this level. Their capability while living and interacting in the environment is acquired through the process of socialization (Persell, 2008).
