The rate of poverty, malnutrition, health issues, political issue and social controversies, all together, are testing the morality and patience of common man on regular basis. Unfortunately, some of the individuals are giving in to such hard times, The result is the anger and frustration channeled into violent acts and behavior is serving as a threat to the peace and stability of a society, Hence, every society needs certain guidelines to deal with people and situations threatening the a stable environment.

The phenomenon of identifying and controlling the reasons, nature and extent of criminal or violent behavior of individuals in a society is Criminology.

Criminal Justice

The system that involves the proposed and exercised guidelines practiced by the government in order to maintain a code of conduct, enforcing them on the society and deciding penalties and punishments for those who violate theses conducts is a Criminal Justice System.

Relationship between Criminology and Criminal Justice and their impotence as sciences Criminology proposes the causes and possibilities of the behavior where Criminal Justice discusses the prevention of these crimes and upsets with help if law and governing bodies.

The term “science” on a very general basis refers to a study of something with respect to the logics and proves. This can be easily related to criminology and criminal justice. Both are subjects that require thorough studies of inappropriate criminal behaviors of individuals in a society. The study is incomplete without the facts and figures and the logic of why such behaviors are originated and what laws will be affective to stop them.

Development in criminology and criminal justice as sciences

The concept of both criminology and criminal justice is almost as the concept of “crime” itself. However, gradually was felt the need of a more proper system to study, prevent and deal with the crimes with more logic, patterns and formality. The credit goes to the psychologists, psychiatrists, behavioral modification experts and other social professionals from different walks of social aspects. They emphasized that a proper research including authentic facts and figures should be conducted regularly. The research must include rate of crimes in a society, the causes that are originating the crimes such as economic state of the citizens in a society, cases involving individuals subjected to social discrimination, extent of deprivation of health and education related facilities and many other important perspectives.

The next step is to carefully analyze the research and filter the useful data. The last and most significant step then will be implementing strategies to deal with all these problems that are causing trouble to the individuals and forcing them to commit crimes
