School Environment

The South Houston Intermediate School has been countering problems, challenges and consequences from its inception. The challenges such as shortage of highly qualified and motivated teachers, poverty, school violence, and bullying are all the serious concerns that need to be solved in a systematic manner. For this purpose, a strategic plan for the school has been laid out, which will present the reviewed and revised version of the mission, vision and strategies of the South Houston Intermediate School.

Background

The South Houston Intermediate School, throughout its position and history reveals itself with the responsibility of leadership provision in the capacity of Education in the entire state. This role played by the school, however, requires to be fulfilled in the framework of varying constraints and dimensions. This leadership expected from the School needs to be depicted with regards to national arena. There has been a dramatic change in the external environment which will assist the school to fulfill its roles and responsibility successfully. The environment has also gained the status of a national character.

The South Houston Intermediate School needs to take stock of this new environment and correspond and agree to the terms with specific obligations and challenges that are initiated at larger domain through these changes. This national web of wisdom and knowledge exchange is indeed enhancing the opportunities across and within the disciplines. It is also building new collaborations and partnerships, ultimately giving the output in form of commendable upgrading and enhancements in the secondary and primary education on the national level along with the escalation of the quality of life.

Mission

The South Houston Intermediate School works with the mission to nurture the students in an effective and efficient manner, with respect to the academic as well as co-curricular potential of the students. The school aims to provide the knowledge seekers with a conducive environment which provides spiritual endowment and discipline as its fundamental.

There are various ways in which the school aims to achieve its mission. They include:

Establishing positive, strong association among and within colleagues' parents, students and the community;

Sustaining program and school improvement programs through working together as a system;

Performing on the conviction that every student has the potential to learn and justify our superior efforts;

celebrating and Respecting culture and diversity in ideas and people;

Seeing the work as learners;

Taking the development and growth of knowledge, skills and attitudes in a climate of collaboration and trust;

Guaranteeing the confidence and trust of public through the wise utilization of resources.

Training of teachers, management and supervision, to the knowledge and application and curricula.

Workshops, conferences and collegiate state, regional and school zone, in line with the current educational needs of teachers.

Train managers in applying the knowledge and experience of each of them to achieve

Regain academic and technical educational leadership in each of the schools that are in charge.
