Introduction

The world does not encompass of a single religion. When the world was created, there would only be one belief or religion, but as the time passed and, world developed and civilization progressed, new beliefs and religions started to emerge. However, no matter how many religions or beliefs exit in the world, most of them possess a few commonalities.

Salvation

Salvation is a religious phenomenon which entails that an individual is rescued or saved from the dire consequences or sufferings that are revered as the consequences of one's immoral deeds and sins.

Christianity

Bible in Christianity is not only the source of leading the righteous and pious life, but also the path of ultimate redemption and salvation. Moreover, in Christianity Jesus since his birth was given the status of the savoir of the people. A savior's primary job is to save the other individuals from sufferings and misery; therefore, the savoir (Jesus) and salvation go hand in hand. Therefore, anyone who wishes to seek redemption must bring him/herself close to Jesus, in terms of deeds, beliefs and acts. The sole redemption of salvation from the misery rests with the Day of Judgment, on which God's rage will be unprecedented and immense. Those who had lived their lives in ignorance will be subjected to the wrath of God. However, salvation in Christianity is used in all three tenses, therefore it implies that it is not only the day of judgement for which we may seek salvation, in fact, the path for purification and salvation must continue all through one's life (Hamilton, 2010).
