Safety and Health Meetings

Introduction

A health and safety meeting is the heart of its activity and constitutes the essence of his work. It is a platform to discuss and then solve issues related to the health and safety of a particular segment of the society or the society on a whole basis. The social process through which people interact directly in these small group meetings is called group dynamics. The word "dynamic" comes from Greek and means "strength." Therefore, when talking about group dynamics we refer to the study of the forces acting within a group. The groups have special characteristics which differ from those of its members.

It is possible to distinguish two main types of group interaction, which occurs when members discuss ideas and solve problems, and that is when members perform tasks together. The first type is called the Committee, the second: the Task Force. In our view, the Health and Safety Committees should be presented efficient two types of interaction, i.e. a process: a) to share information, seek advice, make decisions, negotiate, coordinate and stimulate creative thinking, and process b) collaboration, and conducts a coordinated action. The Committee is also a team when their work is interdependent and its members develop cooperation to improve worker safety in the company.

Discussion

Size

The size of a group tends to affect its operation. If more than seven people, communication tends to be centralized because members do not have enough opportunity to communicate directly with each other.

Composition

Committee members are elected for what they know the goal of the committee, the level of interest of its members, the time available and the history of labor relations among potential members.
