The constant increase in the proportion of elderly in the total population is becoming an influential socio-demographic trend in almost all developed countries. A comparison of the two towns with an increased problem in offering services to the elderly population in the rural areas is discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.
Discussion
We will be comparing the two towns, namely Mexico and Alfred. The life style of Mexico is very fast as compare to the Alfred. Mexico is considered as a fun life for the people of the United States. Whereas, the lifestyle of Alfred is more normal than the Mexico. Although, there are some issue, which is due to two reasons. First, the success of health care, taking control of a number of dangerous diseases, improving the quality of life and lead to an increase in average life expectancy of people.
On the other hand, the steady decline of fertility below replacement rate, reducing the number of children born per woman, for her entire reproductive period, leads to the fact that the level of natural mortality in the country exceeded the birth rate. To replace each generation comes the next generation of smaller size, the proportion of children and adolescents in the community is steadily decreasing, which causes a corresponding increase in the proportion of older people in Mexico.
A serious problem of social service organizations is providing social and socio-medical services for older people living in rural areas, especially in remote and sparsely populated villages, especially in Alfred.
