RU486: MIFEPRISTONE

The RU486 is a drug, which is used almost exclusively to produce embryos from abortions. Its generic name is mifepristone. It is a synthetic hormone that blocks progesterone (a hormone essential for maintaining pregnancy.) The RU 486 prevents the binding and lead to the expulsion of a child conceived, resulting in the death of it (abortion).
