In order to sustain and provide development and growth of the industry, there is a great need of winning confidence of international community through proper management strategies in hospitality industry (Brotherton & Wood, 2007, Pp.37-38). There is a great significance of rooms division in managing the hotel. The proper and efficient management of room division operations will help in the provision of effective hospitality management. The rooms division is the first contact that guests have the staff of hotel. Thus, proper and effective management strategies in hospitality industry help in contributing high and improved revenue and profit to the hotel (Brotherton & Wood, 2007, Pp.37-38).

Accommodation and Front Office Services

The basic purpose of the hotel management is to enlarge and intensify the room occupancy rate. Hotel managers focus on room occupancy rate by keeping customer satisfaction into consideration. In this way, through effective management strategies, the hotel attains high customer satisfaction which consequently provides high and improved profit margins. In order to accomplish these goals of high revenue and profit, each department is essential in order to gain high customer satisfaction (The UK hospitality industry, 2009, Pp.2-4).

Front office and accommodation services play an essential role in organizations including hotel as their guests contact front office in the first place. Front office comes into contact with its guests in accommodation section. Front officers greet and meet their guests, organize and take their reservations, allocate check in, organize porter services, allocate out of rooms, provide security arrangements, provide keys, pass on messages to consumers and settle their accounts. Each and every department of the hotel must work together in order to gain maximum advantage and profit. There is a great significance of clear communication between all of the departments of the hotel for providing effective and efficient hotel management (The UK hospitality industry, 2009, Pp.2-4). The department of front office stands at a very significant point in this communication process. These communications attain successful organization of hotel operations. Similarly, room division appears as the most essential and significant revenue department for organizing hotel effectively. Thus, there is a great significance of effective management of front office of any organization in order to gain maximum advantage and profit from the customers (The UK hospitality industry, 2009, Pp.2-4).
