Introduction
Abu Dhabi Gas Development Ltd. (Al Hosn Gas) was established by the Emiri Decree No .03/2010 published on the 1st February 2010. The organization is based in Abu Dhabi and known as one of the proud companies of the ADNOC group.

Al Hosn gas is working on a major project known as the Shah Gas Development Project. This is part of the Abu Dhabi's Government vision of 2030, which is to build a sustainable and diversified, high value added economy. The products are supplied to businesses for commercial use and consumers for home use.

The demand for gas and sulphur both in the domestic and in industrial use in the international market and domestic market can increase the activities of the business.
Improvement in existing technologies can boost the productivity of the company and improve the efficiency of the organization. The company wants to create competencies that lead to long term sustainability..
The changes in government regulations in the export markets regarding the import of gas and sulhpur can affect the activities of this organisation. If the government in the other market calls for stricter controls, than that would require the organisation to re-think it strategy.
The social changes such as the increase in popultaion and immigrants in Abu Dhabi can translate to more demand for gas. Supply of the potential workforce in the region will also increase .

Functions of the Organization
The functions of the organizations include projects, operations, development and administration. The projects function decides what the assignments that the company needs to initiate are. They calculate the feasibility of the projects and match the requirements with the resources that are available. They decide the companies that need to be awarded the contracts to work on the project; they decide the eligibility and selection criteria of the desired contractor. The operations department looks after the ongoing project and ensures its smooth running. The development function look after the drilling and the extraction process of the organization which in deriving the relevant resources.
