Introduction

Robert Munsch is the great writer who wrote more than twenty five books for children. The author born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed his education from Boston University. In the early times, he served his seven years to study for being a Jesuit priest but after that he decided to give out his life for the sake of children. Robert served lot of time with small children in day-care centers and nursery schools. He has three children Andrew, Julie, and Tyya. It is been observed that when Robert taught in nursery schools, he used to grab the children's interest by his cheerful nature. Robert has published number of books in both USA and Canada. The characters of the Robert's stories seem gutsy, mulish, and charming, but his story line are likely to challenge reunion and stereotypes.

Robert and his wife, Ann shifted to Ontario in the year of 1975, where he holds the designation of teacher at University of Guelph's preschool and associate professor of family studies. In those times, he gained enormous fame. Robert has earned great international recognition for his records and books. In that his famous work Murmel, Murmel, Murmel won Juno Award in the year of 1985 and The Paper Bag Princess became the bestselling books among the children and called the Kid's book of eighties. Another story, Thomas' Snowsuit won the Ruth Schwartz Award and Robert himself won the Canadian Booksellers Association's and became the “Author of the Year” in the year of 1991.

It is usually asked that what people like in Robert's stories. As they all are screwy, contemporary, and reflecting. It is said in the Horn Book that Robert's book are jolly conviction in the command of children. Robert is so famous among his small fans that he receives thousands of letters every year from his fans. Robert likes to meet with his children fans that send him mails, but it is very good to find in author that though he has hectic schedule but he says with simplicity “I love it”. He really likes to travel across the North America and to meet with so many different people.
