Introduction

To be able to understand the perception of the youth, in relations to their rights of passage in America, it is essential to look in detail a number of factors. It should be kept in mind that personal identity does not stop to take shape as long as many lives, but it habitually assumes critical stages of identity formation in the youth. This is an ideal situation during adolescence where most of the development takes place, but this phase does not linger too long (Bell, B.J. 2003).
