Introduction

The paper has illustrated next generation 100 GbME (Gigabit Metro Ethernet) which is using optical rings of multi-wavelength. The paper is investigating the challenges and risks that come up while developing and converting the present Ethernet protocol based on LAN (Local Area Network) into the technology which will be using in forthcoming network architectures.
