Response of Asian Countries to Western Imperialism
Introduction
As the west gained power and boosted the economy through industrialization, it had exerted forces to spread out its roots in various regions of the world. This leads to an era of imperialism with the emergence of the modern nation state and age of discovery and searching. However, it was resisted by some nations such as Japan, China, and India. The origination of colonization and the important factors in shaping the eventual responses to western imperialist intrusion was greatly withstood and opposed after the democratic and political changes. The deal of problems and limitations were faced by these nations while refraining from such domination. They all demanded an implicit national independence from the western domination despite the fact that the western enjoyed a share in the government and political affiliations. Thus, the responses of Japan, China, and India were not polite towards the western imperialism and conflicted with their national systems.
The western countries colonized and dominated the world in the 19th century. The Asian countries such as India, China, and Japan had been subject to western colonization and imperialism which consequently has drastic changes in the various aspects of these nations. The counter-measures were adopted by them to resist the domination and finally retain their independence. All of them witnessed both positive and negative results when these western powers tried to overtake the resources and systems of these Asian nations.

According to Japan, China, and India, the western imperialism acted as the diversion in the flow of their regular national systems. The western imperialism in China, Japan, and India, has caused economic resources exploitation in both ways. They were invaded by the alien countries, but they also pose a benefit for the subject countries in the sense of attracting foreign investments from the colonizing western countries. India, China, and Japan sustained from this type of loss through national prestige offered by the western country and not by the profits itself.
Origination of Colonization
Contrary to public belief, colonization is composed of mere establishment of developmental segment in society or population. It does not contribute to the national systems in terms of politics or governance. However, the imperialism has great influence on the factors of the country. It participate and enjoys a fair share in the systems overall such as the economy and politics. The example of colonization can be stated as collective settlement of locales in a region whereas the imperialism includes the policy of extending a nation's authority by territorial acquisition or by the establishment of economic and political supremacy over other nations. Thus, this supremacy is deliberately exerted to take pleasure as the contributing factor in the country's systems.
