J.B. Phillips, best recalled for his transformation of the New Testament, composed Ring of Truth out of a deep anxiety for numerous Christians whose easy belief was being decayed by the prevalent dissemination of outlooks of certain up to date scholars demanding the correctness and reliability of the Bible (Alexander, 1999).
