Civic education basically refers to all the processes that affect's individual's beliefs, capabilities, action and commitments as members or potential members of a particular society. Civic education does not necessarily bring social diversity the reason being that civil education under the two types of liberalism differs (Gutmann, 1995). While political liberalism does not support teaching to think independently, or live in an autonomous way. While on the other hand the second theory rejects the claim of controlled education.
