Introduction

Coughlan, Cronin, & Ryan (2007) explain the concept of research validity as, "Validity is described as the ability of the instrument to measure what it is supposed to measure". Our paper will focus on the qualitative and quantitative context of research validity.

Discussion

Any measurement or instrument of data collection must meet two essential requirements: reliability and validity. The reliability of a measuring instrument refers to the degree that its repeated application to the same subject or object produces the same results.
