Research Problem and Significance

Antibiotic misuse is considered a major health problem having profound destructive effects on the individuals and in the community as the issue was systemically reviewed and meta-analyzed by P. This study aims to assess the beliefs and practices of parents, most commonly used antibiotics, and the typical signs and symptoms in children that lead to antibiotic misuse by parents for treating their children without consulting a physician in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The results of this study will help to provide evidence to formulate guidelines to increase awareness and educate parents and public about the hazards associated with the misuse of antibiotics.
