Introduction to Organization

In 1980, National Science Foundation (NSF) founded an Organization named as the Long Ecological Research network. At the time of foundation of this research system, Earth was facing numerous environmental challenges. LTER with their entire scientists at different research sites accelerated their research procedures to find out as many solutions as they can. The core mission of Long Ecological Research system is to take care of natural environmental factors and keep the earth as a safe place to live. Still, they are facing many environmental problems and working harder to resolve them by their research findings.

Environment & Relations of Long Ecological Research network

Individual researchers at all Long Ecological Research network Site contribute responsibly to the Organizational core mission. The Long Ecological Research network provides training programs to address environmental issues in the field of research and experiences an increase in the number of intellectual scientist and other workers. Therefore, they work their level best to develop educational activities and well-documented research of well-trained Scientists and inform citizens.

Long Ecological Research system have a variety of overall twenty six sites these sites primarily focus on research and represent a broad variety of perspectives. Each site of Long Ecological Research network hosts a number of environmental experiments aimed at understanding the fundamental principles of measurement and research on a site specific environmental issues. The various research centers and their significant findings of the Long Ecological Research network holds an important position among the international Research networks (Hobbie et al. 2003).
