Abstract
This paper will reconsider and assesses the appearing research literature on information technology and organizational learning. After considering matters of significance and estimation, we will recognise and consider two major creeks of research: investigations that request organizational learning concepts to the method of implementing and utilising information technology in organizations; and investigations anxiety with the conceiving of information technology applications to support organizational learning. From the previous stream of research, we resolve that experience performances an significant, yet indeterminate function in implementation success; learning is complete through both prescribed teaching and participation in practice; organizational knowledge obstacles may be overwhelm by learning from other organizations; and that learning new technologies is a dynamic method characterize by relatively slender windows of opportunity. From the latter stream, we resolve that conceptual concepts for organizational recollection information schemes are a precious assistance to artefact development; learning is enhance through schemes that support communication and discourse; and that information technologies will the promise to both endow and disable organizational learning.
