Introduction

The relationship between the crime and drug abuse is quiet complex. As not every individual who are using drugs have become addicted, or nor they can commit the violent crimes. The economic and social concerns like the illness, significant loss in productivity, premature death and crime are all the factors that are being affected by the drug abuse and alcohol. For understanding the relationship between crime and drug abuse, this paper put emphasis on the affected group i.e., the youngsters. It is a fact that the drug abuse and the willingness of young people to fall for it is a reality that concerns us as members of a society that has this conflict between other emerging. According to Schuckit (2001), teacher can play their role significantly as they are responsible not only to transmit culture, but also to act as health workers in community education.

Task 1

Impact of Drug Abuse on Young People

The early use of drugs also may be a factor. Research has shown that individuals who begin to experiment at a young age that have a higher chance of addiction later in life. That is why it is important to notice the early signs of substance abuse in teens and young adults. The western oriented system for the free market, democracy and the individual rights that has been seemingly spread for overall face of the Earth represents one of the greatest achievements for humanity (Friedman, 2001).

Drug addiction is a disease that is originated in the brain of a large number of human beings. The disease is characterized by chronic or long-term, progression and relapse. It should be understood that the addict would remain an addict while living, i.e. the individual rehabilitated to live without the drug and, thereafter, it will be an addict in remission. Drugs are substances whose use may lead to addiction, stimulation or depression of the central nervous system, or due to violations of the civil trial, behavior or mood. Term drug use can be considered from a strictly scientific point of view of the active ingredient, raw materials. In this sense, we can compare the official agents in the field of pharmacology and medicine at the drug, i.e., narcotics and psychotropic substances may be used as synonyms. Drugs are chemicals used in the treatment or prevention of disease (Sher, 2004).

Critical Analysis

The research is about finding relationship between the use of illegal drug and increase in property crime in USA. This study is a causal form of study, as this research aims to see the relationship between two variables and also evaluates the nature of their relationship. This paper gives a brief introduction about what other researches says about the relationship between illegal drug and increase in property crime (Van, 2006).
