Research Analysis Methodology

The research I conducted was about studying the supply chain reforms with respect to two companies. In order to conduct my research study I selected two Australian banks i.e. National Australia Bank (NAB) and Westpac Banking Corporation (WBC). I applied the given supply chain collaboration aspects on these companies and analyzed the result, where those aspects were:

Strong customer relationship positively affects firm performance

Strong supplier involvement positively affects firm performance

Customer relationship and supplier involvement are positively related

These three aspects are related with supply chain collaboration, where I applied these factors on NAB and Westpac bank and analyzed its affects. In order to gather the supply chain collaboration information of these banks, I used secondary data collection method. This method was comprised of collecting qualitative information like NAB's relationship with customers and its affect on company's performance. The secondary data that used in research analysis was credible and accurate as it was directly gathered from bank's sources; further the articles which were used to backup my research were peer reviewed and current. Thus, I used an exploratory research design for analyzing the supply chain collaboration in NAB and Westpac bank. I analyzed this study by evaluating banks' relationship with their customers and suppliers, their relationship and involvement's affects, and the correlation between their customer relationship and supplier involvement with respect to their supply chain.

Strengths

The research that I conducted was based secondary data collection method, this method is most widely used for research studies and it involves the process of evaluating the data that is already gathered from the primary researcher. The analysis that I conducted was purely based on secondary information collection that includes qualitative information, this study associates variety of strengths such as access to wide range of data available on banks' supply chain; customer relationship; and supplier's involvement from their own sources as well. Moreover, by using secondary exploratory research study I clarified the focus of my research and explored the underlying areas related to the study. This provided us an opportunity to holistically overview the study and then to take in in-depth and insight exploration.
