The purpose of this study is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and figures relating to the religion Islam and misconceptions about it. In this paper, we will examine and research different aspects of Islam. Today, Islam is the religion which people interprets as very wrong and displayed incorrectly, especially by the western media. There are many issues that are now in the minds of people who want to live to know the real truth about Islam, but also the ways that show them Islam is a very bad impression of this way of life (Espisito, 1992). In the next section, we will conduct a research on Islam and assess our misconceptions, and then we will attend a religious seminar and assess our position, whether the misconceptions are clarified or not. Finally, we will give recommendation to eliminate religious misconceptions.

Since its evolution, the followers of Islam have been increasing rapidly as compared to other religions. The followers of this religion are known as Muslims. The Muslims believe in one God (Allah) who is incomparable and the most merciful and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last messenger of God (Allah). The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are referred to as 'Sunnah”. Muslims generally gets all the religious assistance either through citing “Sunnah” or Holy Quran”. Within the religion there are 72 other cast such as Shia, Sunni etc. Each year Muslims celebrate two major occasions, known as “Eid-ul-Fitar and Eid-ul- Azha”. They also believe that all the other holy books have been manipulated, except Quran. According to Muslims Quran still exist in its original condition. The practices and worships of Muslims are based on five salient principles. Among the most commonly followed practices of Muslims are Namaz (offer prayers five times a day), Roza (fasting whole day for thirty days), Haj (each year thousands of Muslims from around the world gather and offer sacred prayers at Holy Kaba), Zakat (according to this concept one third part of the wealth should be given to poor ever year) (Dyer, 2007).
