Renaissance man

Introduction

Renaissance is used to indicate the desire of the leading figures of the time to revive the values and ideals of antiquity. However, in this sense, the term "Renaissance" should be interpreted very tentatively. Revival in practice meant finding a new, not the restoration of the old. The stories cannot turn back or go back to any previous epoch. Experiences, lessons learned and cultural potential do not throw it away and do not get over.

The Renaissance is the result of the dissemination of ideas of humanism, which resulted in a new conception of man and the world. The name "renaissance" was used because it incorporated the elements of classical culture. The term symbolizes the revival of knowledge and progress through centuries of dominance of one type of dogmatic mentality established in Europe in the middle Ages. This new stage raised a new way of seeing the world and the human being, the interest in the arts, politics and science (Vezzosi, p23).

Objective

The aim of this article is to explain the concept of Renaissance man. Moreover, this concept would be explained in light of two modern day examples that personified the concept of Renaissance Man in the 20th century.

The long dark night of the Middle Ages gave way to one of the brightest periods in history: the Renaissance. The fate of medieval man condemned to live in a "valley of tears", known in the mid-fifteenth century a new path of hope. Life flourished, leaving behind atavistic fears, was released from the fears that enslaved the bodies and minds. It was a unique period. The period saw a flowering of art and culture.
